Strategy notes
Cosmic Energy Shields develops the Shields discipline within Fortress and Combined Arms. Hold valuable systems through shields, layered orbital defense, disciplined ground forces, and coordinated production. Its immediate value is +120% Shield Strength, +25% Space Defence; +3% Sensing. The principal counterpressure is that siege, blockade, espionage, and expansion around fortified systems can make static strength irrelevant.
Player hints
This is a major commitment. Secure its required resources and protect the supporting infrastructure before assigning Critical priority. Favor this technology when its Shields benefits reinforce your current economy, fleets, or frontier. Pause the branch if its expected RP per tick is too diluted or its resource costs would stall higher-priority projects.
