Trade Infrastructure
Starports
Starports are commercial and migration hubs. They create credits, trade and market capacity, passenger movement, space production, research, and one empire-wide Trade Convoy slot each.
One completed Starport = one convoy slot
5 trade and 5,760 market capacity
Costs fuel, power, and credits
01
How it works
- A Starport needs a mature system, workers, 20 local power, fuel, and credit upkeep to deliver its full range of services.
- Only completed Starports supply Trade Convoy capacity. Convoys already built and every convoy reserved in a production queue count against the empire-wide limit.
- If Starport capacity falls, a queued convoy pauses without losing paid progress. Existing convoy hulls are not automatically destroyed.

Command advice
- Place Starports in populous, productive systems: those systems are attractive convoy stops and can exploit migration and commerce together.
- Protect Starport worlds and their power supply. Losing capacity can freeze convoy production and weaken markets simultaneously.
- Do not overbuild them on weak colonies—their 20 power, fuel, credits, and labor must be sustained to justify the investment.
