Construction & Production
Buildings and ships are paid for as progress is made. Production capacity and funding determine completion speed, while paused work retains its paid progress.
Costs paid incrementally
Capacity controls speed
Paused progress is retained
01
How it works
- Planetary production advances building queues; space production and shipyard capacity advance ship queues. Technologies and infrastructure can improve effective work speed.
- Discretionary projects receive a fair share of the resources available after essential reserves. If funding is partial, progress is partial.
- Capacity has diminishing returns: concentrating more production can accelerate work, but it does not make throughput scale without limit.
02
Command advice
- Use priorities to prevent a broad queue from diluting the one project that matters now.
- Stage mineral and credit reserves before a major build program so essential spending does not repeatedly throttle it.
- Specialize systems around compatible labor, power, production, and logistics rather than stacking every role everywhere.
